Before Your Appointment Checklist ✨
  • Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in and relax.
  • Bring along your biggest supporters (we suggest 2–4 guests, but we’re happy to accommodate more, just let us know!).
  • Wear nude or light-colored undergarments; a strapless bra is optional.
  • Don’t worry about heels; we’ll have pedestals for you to stand on.
  • Bring photos or inspiration if you have a vision, but also keep an open mind - many brides fall in love with something unexpected!
  • Most importantly, come ready to celebrate and enjoy this special moment.

We offer free parking in the lot that surrounds our building, so it’s easy and stress-free.

Look for the two water fountains out front and the pink and purple flower garden - that’s us!

No need to bring your own! We have a champagne bar in the boutique where you can purchase champagne, rosé, mimosas, and prosecco. Complimentary water is always available, and when you say Yes to the Dress, we’ll celebrate you with a complimentary champagne toast.

Absolutely! We love making this moment unforgettable - whether that’s popping champagne, snapping photos, or sharing a few happy tears with your favorite people. Plus, our boutique has so many Instagrammable spots throughout the store - you’ll have plenty of picture-perfect places to capture the magic of your “Yes!” moment.

Yes! We work by appointment so that every bride has a private, personalized experience. You’ll have your own fitting room, a dedicated stylist to guide you, and plenty of time to soak in the moment when saying yes to the dress.

Bridal appointments are 90 minutes; the perfect amount of time to try on gowns, narrow down your favorites, and find the one without feeling rushed.

You can book online or call us directly. Once your appointment is reserved, we’ll give you a call to gather a little more information so we can make your experience as personalized as possible.

Absolutely. We’ll reach out to you a few days before your appointment to confirm, and at that time you’ll have the opportunity to cancel or reschedule if needed.

We suggest bringing 2–4 guests, but if you’d like a bigger group, that’s no problem; we want you to have everyone with you whose opinion matters most and who you’d love to celebrate with. Just let us know how many will be joining so we can seat everyone comfortably on our bridal stages (they range in size!).

Nude or light-colored undergarments are a great choice. A strapless bra can be helpful, but don’t stress if you don’t have one, our gowns are designed with built-in cups and structure. And no need to pack high heels! It’s easiest to go barefoot, and we provide pedestals for you to stand on so you can see the full effect of your gown.

Our website includes most of our current inventory, and you can even create a wishlist of gowns you’d love to try on. It’s a great way to get inspired and share your vision with your stylist before your appointment.

Dresses & Designers

Our gowns range from $1,500–$7,000, with most brides spending about $2,800 on their dress. We’ll always keep your budget in mind and help you find something that feels just right.

Yes! Our samples range from size 10–24, and we can special order larger sizes so every bride can find a gown that feels comfortable and beautiful.

Absolutely! From veils to jewelry and finishing touches, we’ll help you complete your look so everything feels cohesive and uniquely you.

Yes! We are proud to offer many designers exclusive to the Houston area, including Eva Lendel & Colby John, and our very own line, Corinthian James.

A sample sale is when we sell our gently loved floor samples at deeply discounted prices. We offer them twice a year...follow us on social so you don’t miss the next one!

A trunk show is a special event where we host a designer’s newest (or never-before-seen) collection in the boutique for a limited time. This means you’ll see more gowns than we normally carry in-store, often with special incentives or customizations. It’s the perfect chance to try on exclusive styles before they’re gone!

Ordering & Alterations

Most gowns take 6–8 months to arrive. We recommend shopping 9–12 months before your wedding so there’s plenty of time for alterations. Short on time? Ask us about rush options or gowns available off the rack.

Yes. If you’re working with a shorter timeline, ask us about rush options; many designers offer them so you can still get the gown you love in time. 

Yes...you will want alterations. Every bride’s body is unique, and alterations ensure your gown fits like it was made just for you.

We don’t offer alterations in-house, but we provide a preferred seamstress list of trusted professionals we know and recommend around the Houston area. They specialize in bridal gowns and will ensure your dress fits perfectly and feels like it was made just for you.

Payments & Policies

When ordering your gown, you may choose to pay in full at the time of purchase or place a 60% deposit to secure your order. The remaining balance is due when your gown arrives. We also offer flexible payment plans to accommodate different budgets and timelines.

For gowns purchased directly out of our collection (take-home the same day), payment is due in full at the time of purchase.

All gowns are made-to-order or final sale, which means they can’t be returned or exchanged. But don’t worry...your stylist will guide you every step of the way to make sure you feel 100% confident in your choice.

Gown Care & Preservation

Yes! Simply bring your gown and accessories to Whittington Bridal and we’ll take care of the rest. Once complete, your preserved gown will be shipped directly to you...no need to make a special trip to pick it up.
We also offer cleaning services, which take about 1–2 months to complete.
